| QUALITY STANDARDS FOR VISUAL DESIGN |
| |
This section begins by defining the elements of visual design. Then it recognizes and identifies the standards for quality in the visual design of a custom garment based on the principles and how they act upon the elements. These standards are the basis by which a custom garment presents a professional finished look. The main purpose of visual design in clothing is to enhance the attractiveness of the wearer. This is accomplished through the conscious use of the elements of visual design, which are the basic components or foundations of consideration in all garment design. |

Custom clothiers can follow of break every rule and theory of design as long as the end result works to enhance the wearer. If a rule of theory is broken, it should be a conscious, artistic decision and the end result should always enhance the wearer. |
